C4D4AE: A simple graphic element with mograph Easy ways to create some movement in screens using clones By Ko Maruyama There are many ways to create some little elements that go into radar screens and control panels, but when you need to design something that matches a defined or described function - then you might find some really simple solutions in CINEMA4D's mograph tools.  This 5min video tutorial walks you through the basics. What you do with those tools can take a little longer.

There are many clients interested in the robot-panel these days.  I suppose it isn't anything 'new'.  As motion graphic animators and VFX designers you have probably been creating 'in-montor' graphics that mimic console controls for a long time.

By compositing the graphic, you have more control over what it does and when it does it.    Usually those console shots are setup and shot practically without any screen movement at all.  It's your job as the animator to fill them up.

When there is a little background animation that needs to go in - or if you need to populate a bunch of screens, an easy way to do it is to employ the mograph tools from CINEMA 4D.

This isn't a designed element, but the basics are there for creating a spinning element.  This should start you on your way to designing something more intricate than a simple TUBE primitive.  Have fun.
